This page is the privacy policy, imprint and support contact for Gartenmanager. The in-app interface is German; this public page is English so the App Store listing can be used in more than one country.

Privacy policy

What this app is

Gartenmanager is a private hobby garden app with no user account. Garden data stays on your device. This notice explains what is processed when you use location, notifications, photos or iCloud.

Who is responsible

The publisher is a private individual, not a company. Contact: hello.domenique@gmail.com. Name and postal address are in the imprint on this page.

Data on the device

Beds, plantings, tasks, journal entries, photos, seed inventory, notes, garden location and climate are stored in a local database on your device. Device settings such as appearance and notification time also stay on the device and are not written to iCloud.

Location and weather

You set the garden pin once (place search, GPS or map). Coordinates are used only for climate, sowing windows and weather. For that, the app queries Open-Meteo with latitude and longitude. Open-Meteo does not receive garden records or an account.

Without a location pin there are no crop windows. You can move the pin at any time or use the app offline and enter frost dates yourself.

Notifications

If the morning briefing is on, the app stores a push token, your preferred time and time zone on a server (Supabase). Task and weather text are built on the device. There is no login; the only link is the token.

Turning notifications off deletes the server row. A factory reset deletes it before the app starts over. Apple or Expo may deliver the token but do not see your garden contents.

Photos

Camera and photo library access are only for journal photos. Files stay on the device. If iCloud sync is on, photos may also live in your iCloud Drive.

iCloud (optional)

Cloud sync uses your iCloud Drive as a visible file under your Apple ID. We do not run a separate cloud account. Sharing a garden means the same Apple ID on both devices. You can delete the file in iCloud yourself. Disconnecting in the app only removes the link, not the file.

No ads, no tracking

The app has no ad networks, no analytics and no App Tracking. Nothing is shared for advertising.

Retention and deletion

Local data stays until you delete it or use factory reset. The notification row on the server exists only while notifications are on. iCloud data follows your Apple ID and Apple’s storage rules.

Your rights

Access, correction and deletion on the device through the app (edit, factory reset). To stop server processing, turn notifications off. You may complain to a data-protection authority. In the EEA that is often the authority where you live.

Children

The app is for adults who run a garden, not for children under 16.

Imprint

Publisher

Gartenmanager is provided by a private individual as a hobby app, not by a company.

Electronic contact: hello.domenique@gmail.com

Legal name and postal address: Doménique Jessen, Hällby 160, 73360 Västerfärnebo, Sweden

Content

The app is for private garden planning. Crop dates are guidance based on the location you set, not a guarantee of harvest.

Support

Help

There is no account and no in-app chat. Email hello.domenique@gmail.com if something breaks. Please include device, iOS version and what you were doing.

Data and sync

The app works without a network. iCloud is optional and needs the same Apple ID on both devices. JSON export and import are available under Cloud & file.

Notifications

The morning briefing is best-effort around the time you choose, with about a 15-minute window. The content is built on the device, not on the server.
